On Sunday, the Montana Avalanche Schneiter 12U softball team was crowned with the state title in Bozeman. 

The championship game was a close one, with the Avalanche Schneiter team winning 5-4 over the Montana Avalanche Reis squad. The go-ahead run was scored by Claire Schneider off a Cassie Schweitzer single, according to the Bitterroot Star. 

The win advanced the girls to the USA Softball Nationals in Dallas in a couple weeks. 

Team members are Cassie Schweitzer (Missoula), Kooper Page (St. Ignatius), Claire Schneiter (Florence), Rylee Yeoman (Florence), Amy Taylor (Missoula), Kassidy Yeoman (Florence), Sarah Craun (Florence), Elise Schneiter (Florence), Isa Valdez (Missoula), Kolbi Wood (Florence) and Kylie Kovatch (Florence). They are coached by Chad Schneiter, Wendi Wood and Maurice Craun.
