DARBY - The third annual Elite Bull Connection Bull-O-Rama is scheduled Saturday at the Darby Arena.
The event, sanctioned by the Elite Professional Bull Riders Association, is a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness and features 50 riders competing for a top prize of $10,000.
Event organizer Cal Ruark said the event grows each year and the high quality of bulls draws riders from Canada and across the Northwest.
Last year's event raised more than $4,000, with the funds being donated to Marcus Daly Hospital in Hamilton, said Ruark.
Ruark hopes increased attendance could potentially raise $10,000 to $15,000 to help in the fight against breast cancer.
A Chicks ‘n' Chaps women's bull riding clinic kicks off the day's festivities at 3 p.m. Entry forms are available at chicksnchaps.org.
Gates for the Bull-O-Rama open at 4:30 p.m. and concessions will be available. Music by the Boogie Boys immediately follows the bull riding.
Ruark said there is plenty of room for those wishing to camp during the event.
Tickets are available at Farmers State Bank in Darby or by calling Evelyn Savochka at 531-0327. Reserved seats are $20 each; general admission seats are $15 at the gate and $12 if purchased in advance.
