Bonner Milltown Community Forum will sponsor an informal discussion of the future of Milltown's dam and reservoir at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Bonner School library.
Open to all, the forum is intended to provide community residents with information on all sides of the debate over the future of the reservoir - which holds 6.6 million cubic yards of sediment washed downstream from metal mines and smelters in Butte and Anaconda.
Forum organizer Gary Matson said participants will have a chance to learn more about options for the Superfund cleanup of the reservoir, then to discuss those options and reach a decision. Participants also will be able to "vote" their preference or to write comments for submission to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
To participate in Tuesday's meeting, use the west entrance to Bonner School, off Highway 200. For more information, contact Matson at 258-6286.
