Global clothing retail giant H&M will open a 20,000-square-foot store in Missoula's Southgate Mall in the fall of 2015.
It will be the company's first store in Montana.
“The new location at Southgate Mall in Missoula will offer access to its quality clothing for the whole family, including collections for ladies, men, young ladies and young men, with separate ‘store within store’ sections for accessories, lingerie, sports apparel, maternity and its plus-size line, H&M+," the company said in a written announcement.
H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB is a Swedish multinational retail-clothing company with headquarters in Stockholm.
It is known for its fast-fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers and children. H&M has stores in 54 countries.
The store's location in Missoula's mall has not been revealed. A spokesperson for Southgate Mall did not return a phone message Friday.
Seth Harry and Associates, a Maryland-based architectural and planning firm, was recently hired by the mall's owners to provide design services to update the mall and bring in new tenants and customers.
The firm said it will work to create a more "welcoming, vibrant edge." The entrances will be remodeled, creating outdoor eating areas. A master plan produced by the firm has a long-term goal of transforming the large parking lots surrounding the mall into a mixed-use urban environment.
