The Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to present its monthly safety training session that is free and open to the general public.
Taking place on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from noon to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton, at 100 Madison St., the topic will be fire safety.
Three phenomenal speakers will present on fire prevention and safety from a personal and business perspective. Speakers include Glenn Johnson, vice president of Q Global Inc., a forensic fire origin and cause determination firm based in Washington state; Kevin Putney, senior field claims representative for Farmers Insurance Group; and Julie Phillips, field claims representative for Farmers Insurance Group.
Their extensive experience in the field should create an intriguing and informative session.
They will cover ways for business owners to make their place of business safer, both physically and culturally. Common fire risks, potential solutions, and ways to implement a fire plan will also be discussed.
This training is sponsored by the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce Safety Committee, whose mission is to be a safety resource for the Missoula community by facilitating training and awareness to assist in achieving a safer environment for the general public.
Featuring a variety of topics, monthly safety trainings are offered on the second Tuesday of every month from noon to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton.
All trainings are free and open to the public. For a schedule of upcoming trainings, to hear about sponsorship opportunities, or to learn more about the Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce Safety Committee, please visit missoulachamber.com or call (406) 543-6623.
