Google is coming to town to celebrate their partnership with Missoula to “put Missoula on the map.” The Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce will host a workshop open to all community businesses at the DoubleTree Hotel Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 2:15 p.m.

The workshop will feature discussions by local experts on the importance of having a presence online, web security issues and then the Google team will assist in ensuring Missoula businesses’ online information is correct.

This Put Missoula on the Map workshop will be hosted live, with Google staffers to assist in the process. Space will be limited so please contact the Missoula Chamber at 406-543-6623 or email Kathy at to secure a spot in this workshop.

Once the workshop is concluded, attendees can visit the Business to Business trade show from 4-7 p.m. at the DoubleTree. This event would normally be open to membership only.

The Google staff will host an open house Wednesday, Oct. 15, to celebrate Missoula’s small businesses. They will be celebrating Missoula and its partners, The Missoula Area Chamber of Commerce, Missoula Community Development Corp., and Missoula Economic Partnership, for making Missoula a great place for small businesses to grow online.

Small businesses can attend free Let’s Put Missoula on the Map workshops and get one-on-one help from Google experts. The entire community is welcome to come and enjoy treats from local Missoula vendors, games, giveaways, and fun for the whole family. This free community event will take place from 3-7 p.m. at the MCT Center for the Performing Arts.

Additionally, Google, the Missoula Chamber and the Missoula County Public Schools have partnered to offer training for Google education-specific trainings to our teachers during the community celebrations.
