The 15th annual First Night Missoula will be held Dec. 31. Artists, musicians, performers, crafts people, cooks, storytellers ,and others are encouraged to submit proposals for performances, exhibits, workshops and demonstrations of craft, skill or knowledge. First Night Missoula is also seeking artwork submissions for the 15th anniversary button, poster, and program cover. Deadline for proposals is Aug. 31.

The Daly Mansion is seeking artisans to display, sell, and/or demonstrate their crafts during the Saturday, July 26 Daly Days Living History celebration. Artisans who create goods that were common during the turn of the century are encouraged to participate. Local produce growers and antique dealers are also invited. Art Mobile of Montana brings art exhibits of contemporary, original, visual art throughout the state. We are looking for new works in a variety of styles, media, and techniques, both 2-D and 3-D including paintings, prints, photographs, fiber art, sculpture, mixed media, ceramics (seconds, please) or other for our 2008-2009 traveling exhibit. Our portable walls can accommodate framed work with Plexiglas and hanging wire. Framed artwork should be no larger than 30 inches by 35 inches and we prefer smaller, if possible. AMM serves mostly schools and also community groups, institutions, and other programs. Themes that we are looking for include ongoing Montana conservation/environmental issues, life stories, historical, abstract, figurative, and unusual thought-provoking or inspiring works.
