A new gallery will be making an appearance on First Friday.
The exact address is yet to be determined, but the Stray Gallery will be somewhere off North Higgins Avenue.
University of Montana art student Nico Larsen started the pop-up, located in a trailer as a way to show work.
"I have some friends in Cincinnati who've done Uhaul shows, so I thought it would be the most affordable way to start a gallery," said Larsen, who transferred to the University of Montana from Denver.
She'll display a mix of dadaist paintings and some small sculptural works.
Fellow exhibiting artist Jack Muzzey, meanwhile, is an abstract expressionist with "emotive linework," Larsen said.
The gallery will require hunting for parking spaces so they can begin setting up by 1 p.m. and then they'll probably be open from 5-8 p.m.

It's the first pop-up trailer show for the Stray, and Larsen hopes the expected heavy traffic from the first First Friday of the fall semester brings a good turnout.
She's looking to hold another one later this year, possibly a collaborative effort with musicians and poets.
Watch for the Stray Gallery on North Higgins Avenue on First Friday, Sept. 4.

Monte Dolack has officially closed his storefront gallery in downtown Missoula.
As he's said, though, he's still working and on First Friday he'll make an appearance at the new outlet for his posters, prints and other collectibles.
Frame of Mind celebrates the opening of its Dolack gallery on Sept. 4 with a new print, "River's Light." The poster was commissioned by NorthWestern Energy to commemorate its purchase last year of 11 hydroelectric dams around the state.
The shop is located at 1706 Brooks St., and will be open from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on First Friday.

The Real Good Art Space on Missoula's Westside is marking its one-year anniversary this month.
Printmaker Jack Metcalf opened the studio/exhibition space to showcase his own work and work by like-minded artists and collaborators.
It's usually open on First Fridays only, with a performance art and experiential bent that makes it worth the trip away from the usual art-walk path downtown.
It's been home to not only Metcalf's prints, but dadaist art bingo games and horse racing (with mice), Tell Us Something storytelling open mics and hosted works from the neighboring Clay Studio of Missoula.
This month's exhibition, "Chiasmus," is a collaboration between Karl Schweisow and Metcalf.
Metcalf described it as a "participatory sculpture" in which they "took the meaning of the word chiasmus and abstracted it into a visual/physical form that welcomes interaction."
For those wondering, a chiasmus is "a rhetorical or literary figure in which words, grammatical constructions, or concepts are repeated in reverse order," according to the Oxford English Dictionary.
As always, there will be live screen-printing of T-shirts, live music, and food and drinks.
Real Good is located at 1205 Defoe St., No. 1. Hours on First Friday are 7-10 p.m. For more information, go to realgoodartspace.com.
