Currently on display in the Clay Studio of Missoula gallery is POTSKETCH 2011, featuring a diverse array of works donated by local, national and international artists for the organization's annual POTSKETCH auction. Visitors will be able to view over 60 unique drawings and nearly 20 ceramic pieces from both emerging and established artists, including works by Julia Galloway, Beth Lo, Richard Notkin and Akio Takamori.
Preview visitors will be able to place preliminary bids on all POTSKETCH drawings featured. Online bidding for the POTSKETCH drawings is also available. All interested in bidding on the ceramic works on display will need to attend the organization's April 23 POTSKETCH gala, during which these works will be auctioned off live. Proxy bids can be arranged with the Potsketch coordinator.
Now entering its ninth year, POTSKETCH asks artists to express their artistic influences and/or relationship to the ceramic arts on 5-inch by 5-inch sheets of paper provided by the Clay Studio of Missoula. Each year, these donated works are then auctioned off with all proceeds going to the Clay Studio of Missoula to help expand and develop studio facilities and programming opportunities.
