Missoula's most famous YouTuber/science advocate, Hank Green, is set to talk about his debut novel, "An Absolutely Remarkable Thing" at the University of Montana.
Green's appearance is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the University Center Ballroom.
Tickets are available at Eventbrite via https://bit.ly/2ycz5Jo for $21. They come with a signed copy of the book. The talk was arranged through the Barnes & Noble Book Club.
The novel, published late last month, centers on a young art-school graduate who makes an unprecedented discovery that forces her to deal with Internet fame while trying to unravel an urgent mystery.
In a review, the Associated Press called it, "a thrilling journey that takes a hard look at the power of fame and our willingness to separate a person from the brand. Green manages to blend humor, mystery and science fiction in his fast-paced debut novel."
Green and his brother John Green, the best-selling author of "The Fault in Our Stars," are known as the "Vlogbrothers." Among the Greens' many (very popular) YouTube Channels are Crash Course and SciShow. They also founded VidCon, the international conference for video creators.
