Jeff Ament Pearl Jam use for anything

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament plays in the Adams Center in 2005. Pearl Jam are supporting U.S. Senator Jon Tester's 2018 re-election campaign during their upcoming concert.

Pearl Jam’s August stadium show in Missoula is now offering special ticket packages for supporters of U.S. Senator Jon Tester.

A release from Tester’s campaign detailed a “Rock on Jon” ticket package that — along with a concert ticket — includes entry to a campaign reception for the two-term Democrat on Aug. 12, the day before the concert, with Tester and Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament.

Many of Pearl Jam's concerts here have coincided with Tester’s re-election campaigns, although only one was an official fundraiser. Ament and Tester both grew up in Big Sandy, and remain close friends, according to the release.

The “Rock on Jon” ticket packages will be released July 13. In the meantime, fans can sign up for a wait list to get notified when the tickets are available.

Tester supporters will have other opportunities to win Pearl Jam tickets through the Tester campaign, according to the release.
