Registration is now open for the seventh annual Crown Guitar Workshop and Festival in Bigfork from Aug. 28 through Sept. 4.

The workshop brings talented and prestigious artists from around the world to teach classes and clinics at Flathead Lake Lodge.

A discount of $250 off the workshop fee is offered as an early registration incentive. The deadline is March 31. Scholarships are also available for students, teachers and performers of all ages. The program has been expanded this year to include any eligible guitarist who resides in Flathead, Lake, Sanders, Missoula, and Ravalli county. Deadline for applications is May 31.

The workshop provides an opportunity to study with a roster of premier guitarists who will be teaching and performing as artists-in-residence during the weeklong event.

Scheduled to teach this year are rock/songwriter legend, Jim Messina and his band; Dweezil Zappa, son of Frank Zappa; Lee Ritenour, a jazz master who returns for his seventh year; jazz fusion prodigy Julian Lage; Chris Eldridge of the Punch Brothers; Nashville recording legend Brent Mason and more. These artists will be featured in workshop courses and all will perform onstage at various times during the week of the Crown Guitar Festival.
