Business changes

The Case Management Program of Partners In Home Care is now being called the Partners Home & Community Based Services Program. This name coincides with the names used by many of the sister services at other organizations. As part of this change, Annie Bernauer has been named team leader. She joined Partners in September 2008 and holds an Master of Social Work from the University of Montana.

American Mortgage of Montana has transitioned into a branch affiliate of Network Funding LP out of Houston. The branch is a full service FHA and VA lender and provides in-house funding for conforming, nonconventional, jumbo, reverse and second mortgages. Call 542-0700 or visit

New business

Frances Scott opened Frankie's Mercantile, a consignment store located at 223 W. Front St. Steven Begleiter photography studio remains in the back while the store front is now Frankie's. Scott has a business degree from the University of Montana and previously owned Southern Roots and managed Pine Mountain Candies. Call 543-0898.

Michele Puiggari opened Puiggari and Associates Consulting Services, which offers human resource consulting services to businesses located in the Northwest. Services include employment policy development, employment training, drug and alcohol compliance, and more. Puiggari is an attorney licensed in New Mexico, Washington D.C. and Pennsylvania.

New associates

Julissa Bencia-Hensel was hired as a work force consultant for the Missoula Job Service. She has been in the staffing industry for seven years in the Missoula area.

New staff members at the Missoula American Heart Association include Bill Mathews, regional director; and Jennifer Loyd, coordinator and field support.

Rob Rowe is a new sales associate at University Motors, a dealer for Honda and Honda certified used cars.

Partners In Home Care has hired the following since the beginning of 2010: Patsy Ashley is a home health aide at the Polson branch; Jill Edwards, RN, is nurse case manager for the Hospice program; Mindi Hogan is a clinical relations coordinator; JeNaia McGreevey is an RN in the home health program of the Polson branch; Susannah McVay Ries, RN, is a nurse case manager for the Hospice program; Erin O'Conner is an RN for the Home and Community Based Services program; Luanne Parker is the relief chaplain for the Hospice program; Christine Smith is a physical therapist with the Home Health program; Randall Stillson is an RN in the Home Health program of the Polson branch; Amanda Stubb is an RN in the Home Health program; Toni Young is the volunteer coordinator in the Hospice program of the Polson Branch; Mary Ann Zeisler, RN, is a case manager with the Home Health Program.


Cassie Strauss was promoted to work force consultant at the Missoula Job Service. Strauss is a graduate of St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minn., with a bachelor's degree in business.


Michael Watkins of HealthCare Plus of Polson earned the designation of Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians.


St. Patrick Hospital and Health Sciences Center Diabetes Care Services Department received accreditation from the American Association of Diabetes Educators in April, signifying its compliance with the National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education.

Thomas Vanorio, owner of T Bar V Builders in Stevensville, was elected a life director of the National Association of Home Builders at the association's spring board of directors' meeting in Washington, D.C.

Truxton Rolfe was elected to the board of directors for Tamarack Grief Resource Center. Rolfe is an active member of the Missoula Kiwanis as well as the Highlands Golf Course.

Ronald F. Premuroso, Ph.D., CPA, was elected to the board of directors for Partners in Home Care. Premuroso is an assistant professor of accounting at the University of Montana School of Business Administration. He is a CPA in Florida and Montana and received his Ph.D. in 2008 from Florida Atlantic University.

Nancy Gibson of Gibson Law Offices PLLC was appointed board chairwoman for Partners in Home Care. Gibson has been practicing law in Missoula for 25 years.


The Best Western Grant Creek Inn, 5280 Grant Creek Road, received the Best Western's Director's award for outstanding quality standards. The award recognizes Best Western International hotels scoring in the top

20 percent of all 2,400 North American properties in cleanliness and maintenance.

James and Diane Day of Prudential Missoula Properties received first place in Montana for Residential GCI for the first quarter of 2010.

Missoula Businesswomen's Network presented Jamie McGarvey with the 2010 MBN Woman of the Year Award. In addition to A Partnership for Success - the life coaching business that McGarvey started 12 years ago - she has worked at the YWCA the past five years.

At the meeting of Rotary District 5390 in Great Falls, the Rotary Club of Whitefish was the recipient of three awards. It was recognized for Outstanding Service to Their Community and awarded the Presidential Citation for service and increased membership.
