Kathy Argo joined the Pilates team at the Women’s Club. Argo teaches reformer and mat classes, prenatal reformer and mat classes, and is available for private sessions. Argo moved to Missoula from the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned her certification through Stott Pilates and has more than six years of teaching experience.

Broker Denise Lang has joined Trails West Real Estate’s Bigfork office. Lang entered the real estate profession in 2001 and has worked in the finance industry.

Brokers Rhonda J. Kohlbroker and Dan Kiley have joined Trails West Real Estate’s Whitefish office. Kohlbroker has primarily marketed to high-end clients at the Iron Horse Golf Club Community and has 14 years of experience in real estate. Kiley was a real estate professional in Chicago. His background includes experience in sales and private banking.

Daryn McCord, hip-hop and acting instructor/marketing director for On Center Performing Arts, was hired as coach of the University of Montana Dance Team for the 2010-11 season.

Promotions

Beth Burman Frazee has been promoted to the position of director of development and marketing at United Way of Missoula County. Frazee previously served as manager of development and marketing. She will be responsible for directing the organization’s resource development, marketing and community outreach efforts; staffing the development committee; and directing STAND, United Way’s networking and community service program for young professionals.

Elected

David A. Severson was elected vice president of the MEA-MFT union of nearly 18,000 school employees and public service employees. He will continue to serve as president of the Missoula Education Association in Missoula.

Recognition

Scott Breum of Scott Breum Photography was named one of 10 Photographers of the Year for 2010 at the Montana Professional Photographers Association’s annual convention in Bozeman. Breum competed in the MPPA statewide print competition, receiving merit awards for three of five prints he entered. He was awarded first place for his senior portrait album, as well as second place in the senior folio division. He was also awarded second place in the electronic imaging division for his underwater image created during a senior portrait session, and third place in the commercial division for an image created for Grizzly Hackle.

The MetLife Inc. office in Missoula was named Financial Planning Firm of the Year.

Kris Hawkins was the top listing agent for Properties 2000 in April. Hawkins is a broker/owner at Properties 2000 and specializes in first-time homebuyers.

Marina Snow won the Bay Area Independent Publishers Association Best Novel award for “Ailanthus Park.” Snow’s books are published by Lost Coast Press.
