Carroll College post Cassidy Hashley was named the Frontier Conference Freshman of the Year and also shared second-team honors with seniors Bailey Snelling and Kalee Junkermier, the conference announced Monday.
Hashley, a 6-foot-2 Kalispell product, averages 12.4 points and 7.6 rebounds a game for the No. 21 Saints (18-11), who find out Wednesday if they’re headed to the NAIA national tournament as an at-large team.
Snelling and Junkermier were mainstays in Carroll’s backcourt and were some of the most efficient 3-point shooters in the country this season, hitting 65 treys apiece.
Snelling (Judith Gap) averages 12.9 points along with 3.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists while Junkermier (Spokane, Washington) averages 12 points and 3.7 rebounds.
Carroll finished third in the regular season before being upset by Montana Tech 52-45 in the Frontier Conference tournament quarterfinals.
