I was appalled at the article (Missoulian, Jan. 1) about Sonnie Atwood's experience.
I too was a breastfeeding mother, but I am wondering what has happened to modesty and discretion, of which there was a complete lack of displayed in this situation - then on top of that, to throw "the law" in your face to excuse behavior that should never have happened.
I would understand in an extreme case where no covering was available and the child needed to be fed immediately, but this does not seem to be the case in this instance. There was no consideration at all for those around this mother, only her "rights" mattered to her. It seems that some people thrive on creating conflict.
The only sympathy I have is for the restaurant, Red Robin, that was forced to deal with this unfortunate situation.
