Joe Brooke of Ronan and Vivian Morgan of Clearwater, Florida, were married on a beautiful fall day, Oct. 15, 1966, at Sacred Heart Church in Joe’s hometown. They were introduced to each other by their friends, Rob and Johanna Hansen, the year before when all were attending Carroll College.
Joe and Vivian made their home in Missoula where they raised their four children, Patti, Monica (Kevin), Susan (Aaron) and Morgan (Joy). They have five grandchildren, Brooke, Biko, Tony, Maguire and Penelope.
Joe continues to work as a lumber broker and co-owner of Eagle Post and Pole.
Vivian is a retired state representative and senator. She spent her career fighting for causes she remains passionate about – women’s rights, gay rights and pro-choice rights, to name a few.
Joe and Vivian have spent the 50 years of their marriage skiing, golfing, playing bridge and being active in their community. They love to laugh with friends they have had for decades and travel to see their kids and grandkids. Last July, Joe and Vivian's children held a small celebration for their parents' 50 years of marriage. It was a beautiful evening at Flathead Lake, where memories of the beginning of Joe and Vivian as a couple were shared.
