Florence church hosts composer, author

Bob Kilpatrick will be a special guest at Dayspring Church in Florence at 10 a.m. Sunday. Kilpatrick has written popular worship songs such as "In My Life Lord Be Glorified." He has written several books, and worked in ministry with well-known figures such as Dr. Jack Hayford, Corrie Ten Boom, Michael W. Smith, Anne Graham Lotz, Keith Green, Phil Keaggy and Andrae Crouch. The church is located 185 Westgate.

Silent retreat planned at St. Francis Xavier

St. Francis Xavier Parish, 420 W. Pine St., will host a silent retreat based on the spiritual exercises of St. Ignatius on June 4-5. The schedule is 7-9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday with a continental breakfast and lunch provided. There is no cost.

Vocal concert set for May 23 in Corvallis

The Montana A Cappella Society will perform a free spring concert with the VSA (Very Special Adults) Choir from Missoula on May 23 at 3 p.m. at the Corvallis United Methodist Church. Donations are appreciated. Refreshments to follow.

The A Cappella Society joins the VSA Choir in celebrating its 10th anniversary as a music ensemble under the direction of Malcolm Lowe. It has grown from eight singers in the first year to 36 singers this semester.

Bulgarian pastor to speak in Stevensville

Krassy and Maria Partovsky from Bulgaria will hold special meetings May 16-19 at Light of the Valley Church, 103 N. Kootenai Creek Road, Stevensville, Krassy is a pastor over a number of churches in Bulgaria and is also a church builder, evangelist and speaker.

Services will be Sunday at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. and Monday through Wednesday at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, May 15 a ladies potluck luncheon will be held for all ladies. Maria Partovsky will be the guest speaker. Call 777-5859.
