Enjoy a day of Christmas festivities at the beautifully decorated historical Daly Mansion this Saturday, Dec. 20.
Experience the fun of cookie decorating, creating Christmas crafts and playing games while enjoying holiday entertainment by the Sunshine Generation, Bitterroot Ragtime Society and pianist Joan Roe.
Volunteers at the mansion will give a gingerbread house-making demonstration and have a raffle for a completed gingerbread house.
Santa will be stopping by to visit and take photos from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Mrs. Claus will attend to read stories to the children throughout the day.
Suzanne Casteel, events coordinator, for the Daly Mansion said the mansion is a great place to visit during the holiday season.
“Our Community Christmas Party is something the volunteers and staff look forward to all year,” said Casteel. “My cousin’s daughter calls it “Santa’s Palace” which I think is a fun description and kind of sums up the wonder of the season.
“Even if you don’t want to visit Santa, there are plenty of other fun activities to do, such as crafts and cookie decorating. There are snacks for everyone and it’s just wonderful to see the house decorated for Christmas and to hear live holiday music – the Sunshine Generation kids are delightful and will make you smile and the Ragtime Society will definitely get you in the mood for Christmas.”
“We hope this event continues to be a family tradition for our community which also benefits the Daly Mansion Preservation Trust in its mission to keep the doors to the Estate open and available to all.”
Experience this wonderful Bitterroot holiday tradition Saturday, Dec. 20, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Price is $5 adults, $2 children (under 6 free) at the Daly Mansion, 251 Eastside Highway, Hamilton.
