Travelers' Rest State Park

Montana State Parks announces the return of the Winter Storytelling Series beginning New Year’s Eve with these programs:

• "Coyote Stories" presented by Stephen Small Salmon, 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, MCT Center for the Performing Arts, 200 N. Adams St. Small Salmon presents stories of the Trickster Coyote as part of First Night Missoula.

• "Salish Winter Tales" presented by Frances Vanderburg, 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, Travelers' Rest State Park, Holt Visitor Center and Museum, 6717 Highway 12 W., Lolo. Vanderburg has been the Salish language teacher at Arlee Elementary School and Salish Kootenai College for more than 35 years. Travelers' Rest Preservation and Heritage Association Executive Director Molly Stockdale will present a concurrent children’s program, “A Winter Wonderland” for young visitors.

Admission to each program is $5 per adult, free for youths younger than age 18 and all current Travelers’ Rest Preservation and Heritage Association members.
