Missoula Symphony's family concert

Creighton James (left) and Darko Butorac (right) play a conductor and a detective in the Missoula Symphony Orchestra’s annual family concert last year.

The MSO's popular, family friendly take on the classics can help introduce children to classical music in its natural format – 100 musicians in a room instead of compressed onto a streaming audio track. The program features works every human should know, such as Beethoven's 9th, Brahms' 1st Symphony, Stravinksy's Firebird Suite and more.

The concert takes place Jan. 30 in the Dennison Theatre at UM. For more information, go to missoulasymphony.org.
