An Arlee man who asked a police officer for help with his van wound up arrested on his 13th DUI offense.
Rojelio Loren Reveles, 47, is jailed pending $100,000 bail. He is charged with felony fourth-or-more DUI and misdemeanor counts of driving while his license was suspended, no proof of insurance and careless driving.
According to court affidavits, Missoula Police Officer Katherine Hall saw Reveles' van stopped in front of Missoula Textiles in downtown. Reveles reportedly waved Hall over and said his van had stopped. Hall noticed skid marks on the road by his van and also smelled alcohol on his breath. Reveles also allegedly told Hall "he had had one beer that morning."
While Hall was investigating, another motorist told Hall she believed she had been rear-ended by Reveles' van. Reveles' breath alcohol concentration was reported at .207, more than double the legal limit. A records check showed his license was suspended and he had 12 previous DUI convictions.
