Missoula activity includes:
South Hills Storm Drain,
39th Street is closed to through traffic between Russell Street and Paxson for utility installation and street reconstruction. Local access will be permitted. Watch for detours
Pattee Creek Drive between Higgins and Bancroft is closed to through traffic for storm drain installation. Restricted local access will be permitted.
High Park Way between Overlook and Southwest Higgins is closed for utility installation and paving. Local Access is permitted.
West Broadway from Gull Boats to Reserve Street
A sidewalk installation project will start on the west side at Reserve Street and continue south on the west side. Look for equipment on the shoulders and driveway closures.
State Department of Transportation projects include:
I-90, from Lookout Pass to Superior, crews are sealing cracks in the roadway. Travelers can expect 55 mph speed limits, two-way traffic and a width restriction of 14-feet-6-inches. The width restriction will be in effect from April 21st to November 1st, 2003. The restriction excludes eaves on mobile homes.
I-90, from 3 miles west of Drummond to 9 miles east of Drummond, travelers can expect 55 mph speed limits, single lane closures, detours, and two-way traffic. Eastbound and westbound loads over 12 feet wide (excluding eves on mobile homes) are restricted between mileposts 153 and 154.5. Westbound loads over 12 feet wide and 14-feet-2-inches high need to find an alternate route. There is a signed detour for all other loads. Crews are constructing cross-overs and doing bridge rehabilitation work.
I-90, from 3 miles west of the Gold Creek Interchange to milepost 177, crews are paving the roadway and working on bridges. Expect reduced speeds of 45 mph, single lane closures, grooved and rough roadway surfaces.
MT-1, from 10 miles South of Philipsburg (Georgetown Lake) to the intersection with Secondary 348, travelers can expect paving activities. There will be 10-minute delays, single lane traffic, and 35 mph speed limits.
MT-38, on the Skalkaho road from milepost 6 to milepost 17, travelers can expect 5-minute delays, single lane traffic and 35 mph speed limits. Crews are paving the roadway.
MT-141, 7.5 miles northeast of Helmville, crews are installing culverts and clearing and grubbing along the roadway. Expect gravel surfaces, single lane traffic, and 35 mph speed limits.
Sec-348, from 7 miles west of Philipsburg to the junction with MT-1, travelers can expect 10-minute delays, fresh oil, single lane traffic, and 35 mph speed limits. Crews are paving the roadway.
US-10, by the Missoula Airport (milepost 2.5 to milepost 3.5), crews will be constructing an additional turning lane. Expect single lane traffic and short delays.
Watch for workers in all construction areas and please obey all traffic signing. Violating highway work zone signs can result in doubled fines. Montana laws also set fines and jail sentences for reckless endangerment of highway workers. Expect to see law enforcement around work areas.
