LOST TRAIL PASS - The Ravalli County Sheriff’s Office released the name of the pilot killed in Tuesday’s airplane crash at the Lost Trail Pass ski area.

Michael Blume, 62, of Burnsville, Minn., was killed when the Grumman Goose aircraft he was piloting crashed into the parking lot of Lost Trail Powder Mountain late Tuesday afternoon.

Blume was the only occupant of the aircraft. No one else was injured in the incident.

Blume was piloting the aircraft to the Ravalli County Airport in Hamilton. The aircraft left Dillon and had landed in Salmon, Idaho, prior to the accident.

NTSB and FAA officials are investigating the cause of the crash.
