A 36-year-old Bonner woman was killed Friday night in a head-on collision on Highway 200.

Missoula County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Jason Johnson said Jessica Weimer was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred around 11:30 p.m.

According to the Montana Highway Patrol, an eastbound vehicle driven by a 17-year-old Potomac boy crossed the center line near mile marker 6 and collided with the car driven by Weimer’s husband, who was injured in the crash.

Weimer’s 11-year-old daughter was also injured in the crash.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle either fell asleep, passed out due to a medical condition or was distracted, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.

The accident is still under investigation, but officials believe alcohol was a factor.

The driver, as well as Weimer’s husband and daughter, were transported to St. Patrick Hosptial to be treated for their injuries.

Weimer was the only person involved in the crash not wearing a seatbelt.
