Travelers out of Missoula International Airport will get a second shot at enrolling in a program that expedites the boarding procedure.
Appointments are available Monday through Friday, Sept. 19-23, for the Transportation Security Administration’s PreCheck program. It enables identified low-risk air travelers to pass through security checkpoints without removing their shoes, laptops, light outerwear, belts and limited amounts of liquids in their carry-on luggage.
Enrollment is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday, at pre-security, the main terminal and the Airport Authority Conference Room. The application fee is $85 for five years of service.

Airport assistant director Brian Ellestad said Morpho, the company contracted to provide the signup, may re-evaluate and add a second week.
Missoula first offered the TSA PreCheck service in March and is now one of 167 U.S. airports to do so. Applicants are encouraged to pre-enroll by going to identogo.com/precheck, selecting “Apply Now” and filling out the first seven steps. On step 8, type in your location as “Missoula, MT” and choose “Missoula International Airport.” Step 9 is when you select an appointment time.
To complete the process you must bring to the airport proof of identity and U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. passport or a certified birth certificate and drivers license. The application process is completed on site, where an applicant’s fingerprints are captured and the fee is collected in the form of credit card, money order, company check or certified/cashier’s check. Cash and personal checks won’t be accepted.
