A fire Wednesday at composite wood manufacturer Roseburg Forest Products in Missoula took more than four hours to fully control but was put out without injuries.
The Missoula Rural Fire District responded to a report of a structure fire shortly after 4 p.m. and found a sawdust silo ablaze. Firefighters controlled the blaze, which was isolated in the silo.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., following hours of work putting out hot spots, firefighters left the scene to be monitored overnight by the company’s fire brigade. The cause of the fire is unknown, and no injuries were reported.
The Missoula Fire Department also responded to the blaze at the wood products company.
