Tower Street flooding

Flood waters from the nearby Clark Fork River flow down Kehrwald Drive off Tower Street on Missoula's west side Monday morning. Snowmelt from last week's warmer temperatures and Sunday's rain caused rivers to rise across the region but only minor flooding was reported.  

Evacuations: Tower Street, north of Third Street; Kehrwald Drive; Channel Drive; Nancy Lou Drive; Keck Street and Stone Street, north of Flamingo Drive; Schmidt Road; Off Mullan Road; South Harper's Bridge Road and Hamel Road.

Road closures: Tower Street; Nancy Lou Drive; Stone Street, north of Flamingo Drive; Schmidt Road; Harper's Bridge Road; Hamel Road.

Sha-Ron (closed)

Kelly Island (all access points closed)

Council Grove State Park (closed to all access)

Weigh Station (no access to put in a boat; Blackfoot River closed between here and Clark Fork confluence due to construction on I-90 Bridge piers).

Mid Canon Fishing Access Site on the Missouri River about halfway between Helena and Great Falls is closed.

Placid Lake State Park is open for camping; but boat ramp is closed to trailer launches.

Area roadways to watch: S-203, north of Stevensville on Eastside Highway: water over roadway, use caution.

S-210, half mile west of the Turah Exchange, water on roadway, use caution.
