Three Missoulians were killed in a two-vehicle crash on West Broadway near the Missoula International Airport late Saturday afternoon.

Just after 4:30 p.m., a 34-year-old man driving a Jeep Cherokee was reportedly speeding west on Highway 10 near Whippoorwill Drive, Montana Highway Patrol dispatch said.

“The vehicle swerved across all lanes of traffic,” their report said, and crashed into a Ford Taurus heading east with a 65-year-old male driver and a 57-year-old female passenger. They were both wearing seat belts.

The driver of the Jeep was not wearing a seat belt.

All three were pronounced dead at the scene, according to highway patrol.

Alcohol use and excessive speed are suspected.
