Two Missoula men are recovering from knife wounds sustained during a fight Saturday morning.
The incident happened shortly before noon when longtime friends Tim Onslow and Bill Formway got into a disagreement where they live in separate cabins near the Forest Lounge on West Broadway, said Rick Newlon, a Missoula County Sheriff's detective.
Although police are still sorting out the details of the incident, it appears Onslow brought the pocket knife to the argument, Newlon said.
Both men, who are in their 50s, ended up with severe knife cuts to the throat and multiple facial wounds.
Police were called to the scene after Formway, who was bleeding profusely, went into the Forest Lounge and asked for help, Newlon said.
Onslow was discovered in one of the nearby cabins.
Once emergency responders arrived, the men were taken to separate Missoula hospitals where they underwent surgery.
On Sunday, Onslow was still hospitalized and Formway had been released.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the knifings, which remain under investigation, Newlon said.
