Anyone with an extra $4.95 million lying around can live like a rock star in Sula.
Jason Newsted, a longtime bassist for Metallica who also played with Ozzy Osbourne, has listed his Sula home for sale, complete with an inlaid sunburst design on one wall that’s handcrafted from exotic woods from the Gibson guitar factory.
Newsted told the Wall Street Journal that “Montana was my escape place. It’s where I went to get away from the grind and no one could find me.” He added that he and his wife spent two months a year at the home and otherwise divided their time between San Francisco and Jupiter, Florida. They are selling in order to spend more time traveling.

"Now we have found ourselves being more social again and more into the world again, and I’m going to be touring the world with my paintings," Newsted, 54, told the Journal.
The 5,800-square-foot home has three fireplaces and ceilings “only slightly lower than the stars,” according to a video describing the property. The home, a manager’s home and outbuildings sit on 545 acres, and is listed with Hall and Hall realty.
Yes, Metallica fans. It's Sad But True.
