Missoula police are investigating an alleged rape of a 19-year-old woman on the University of Montana campus that was reported to law enforcement at 8:15 p.m. Monday.

Missoula Police Department public information officer Travis Welsh said an 18-year-old suspect, who is known to the woman, has been interviewed.

Other people are being interviewed, but no arrests have been made yet, he said.

The alleged assault occurred about 3 a.m. Monday in a dorm room at UM, Welsh said.

Welsh wouldn’t identify whose dorm room it was and said he didn’t know if alcohol played a role in the assault.
