Sea Scout Ship 102, a co-ed teen Scouting unit in Missoula, has arranged for Montana's U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary to present a variety of informational programs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall, 825 Ronan St.

The presentation is free, open to the public and will feature a variety of demonstrations oriented toward boating safety.

A session devoted to search and rescue, with equipment demonstrations and video clips, will further educate attendees. Other 20- to 30-minute segments will cover cold water immersion, pollution and environmental protection, aids to navigation, and rules of the road.

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary is also using the event as a recruiting tool.

Anyone interested in joining or needing more information is asked to contact skipper Chris Roberts at 549-3090 or at croberts@powwow
