A brand-new 90-room hotel is scheduled to open in Missoula on Monday.
The four-story TownePlace Suites by Marriott is located at 3055 Stockyard Road, behind the Johnny Carino’s restaurant on North Reserve Street.
“It’s an all-suite hotel, so there are full kitchens in every room,” explained manager Racquel Rausch. “It’s really designed for the extended stay traveler.”
Room rates will vary depending on the length of stay.
Currently, the hotel employs 17 people, but Rausch expects that number to double during the busy summer season.
The hotel’s location was deliberate. It is just off Interstate 90 and two miles from Missoula International Airport, and offers easy access to Montana Snowbowl, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Smokejumper Visitor Center.
“We are pleased to introduce the TownePlace Suites brand to the Missoula area,” said Loren Nalewanski, vice president and global brand manager for TownePlace Suites. “Providing an upscale residential atmosphere, this TownePlace Suites hotel offers an appealing alternative to more standard hotel rooms.”
The hotel features a floor-to-ceiling map of the city that lets guests know where to shop, eat, get their clothes dry-cleaned or wash their car.
The kitchens in the one- or two-bedroom suites feature stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, as well as separate living/working and sleeping areas. The suites all feature a sofa and a task chair, large flat-screen televisions and storage space.
The exercise room is open 24 hours a day and there is complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the building. Guests also can find a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, a whirlpool spa, an outdoor patio with a fire pit and barbecue, and on-site copying, faxing and printing services. The hotel is also pet-friendly (fees may apply) and provides laundry facilities.
