VICTOR-n Victor native Alice May Gingerich, 94, died at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula on Thursday, June 19, 2008.
She was born on Feb. 16, 1914, at the Curlew Orchards in Victor, to Arthur and Ellen Fifield and lived most of her life in Victor.
Her family was her greatest joy and always came first in her life. She had many, many friends and some of her best friends were dogs and little children. To all her nieces and nephews she was affectionately known as "Auntie Blinks" and to her kids and their spouses she was "Mom."
Alice graduated from Victor High School in 1932. Alice loved the Rebecca Lodge and was the last member of the Victor Chapter. She turned over all the records to the state when the Victor Lodge closed its doors.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband Grady Kerr; second husband, Ernest Gingerich; all eight of her siblings and her daughter Janice Williamson.
She is survived by her son Tom (Mary) Kerr; daughters Carol (Dale) Hendrick and Donna Rosebaugh and son-in-law Dean Williamson; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and five greatgreat- grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Ruth Fifield, many in-laws on her Gingerich side of the family and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at the Victor Cemetery on Wednesday, June 25, at 1 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be given to the Council on Aging, Shrine Hospital, American Cancer Society or donor's choice.
