HAMILTON - Carolyn Durkin Luladakes, 87, of Hamilton passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Valley View Estates of natural causes.
She was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Pittsburgh, Pa., the daughter of Rose and Matthew Durkin.
After high school, Carolyn attended cosmetology school. She married James Luladakes July 31, 1950.
Carolyn enjoyed art, sewing and flower gardening. In her younger years, she loved to sing and dance with her sisters and were known as the Durkin sisters in the Pittsburgh area.
Carolyn was a creative and talented woman who kept a beautiful home and cared for her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy, who passed away Oct. 23, 2002.
She is survived by her daughter, Aleta Sisson of Corvallis; grandchildren, Ilana Siegelman of Missoula, Asher Siegelman and wife Amanda of Jerusalem, Israel, and Orion Siegelman and wife Gabrielle of Jerusalem; her son James Luladakis of Huntsville, Ala.; grandchildren, Johnathon Collins and wife Teresa of Fayetteville, N.C., and Casey Luladakis of Fayetteville; great-granddaughter, Emily Collins of Fayetteville; her sisters, Barbara, Helen and Mary, and brother, Bill all of Pittsburgh.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 27, at Riverview Cemetery in Hamilton with Pastor Mick Gray officiating.
Arrangements are under the care of the Daly-Leach Chapel.
