THOMPSON FALLS - A precious soul left this earth on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2005, a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Leonard L. Senn.
He was born on July 19, 1932, in Richardton, N.D., to Adam and Mary Siller Senn. He grew up on the farm outside Richardton and graduated from Assumption Abbey High School.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Germany where he played the tenor saxophone in the Army Band.
On June 10, 1958, he married Beverly Berger and from this union had three children, Nancy, Debbie and Curtis. They divorced in 1980. He then married Grace Iams in 1985. She preceded him in death in 1995. Leonard then married Marilee Bittner on Sept. 5, 1999.
He tried several occupations and excelled at all of them. He loved the earth and was constantly tending his flowers, trees and gardens. Leonard loved to spend time with his family and friends, work hard, watch the wildlife, mountains and rivers from his home on the Clark Fork River. He will be deeply missed.
Leonard is survived by his wife Marilee of the family home; his son, Curtis Senn of Detroit; his daughters, Debbie Senn of Billings and Nancy (Holly) McKinsey of Helena. Also surviving are his two grandchildren, Shylo and Griffin McKinsey of Helena; his brothers, Gary (Dee Dee) Senn of Hamilton and Emil (Marilyn) Senn of Chandler, Ariz.; his sister, Shirley (Ken) Jones of Maplewood, Minn.; his stepchildren, Vickie (Dennis) Bauer of Loveland, Colo., John (Norma) Joslin of Sumner, Wash., and Mitch Joslin of Kaapa, Hawaii; step-grandchildren Holly and Jason Carpenter, Dylan Bauer and Johnny and Amanda Joslin; and step-great-grandchild Noah Austin.
