MISSOULA — Cheryl Lynn Kaufman, 61, of Missoula, passed away on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 with her family by her side. She fought a courageous battle with the grace and determination she lived by.
Cheryl graduated from Missoula’s Hellgate High School in 1975. After school she took life head on and enjoyed it to the fullest through her travels and then settling down to raise her daughter in Missoula. Cheryl's zest for life was to do what people said was impossible. She loved to sing and dance and live life to the fullest no matter what anyone said. She was known to have a compassionate, loving soul where she made family near and far her priority. Anyone that came into passing with Cheryl instantly became her friend because she had a magic way with people.
Her family and friends know her strong spirit and knew that she wouldn't let anything hold her back from doing what she wanted and needed to do for family, friends and herself. Her strong spirit is what made her so beautiful.
Cheryl is survived by her daughter, Cassandra; mother, Elizabeth “Betz”; sister Audrey Peterson; and brothers Rodney, Steve (Joni), Craig (Carol), and Bryon as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved with passion.
Mass funeral service will be held June 14, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Church, Missoula at 10:30 a.m. followed by a reception at the church.
