MISSOULA — Janet Lindquist Schafer, 55, of Missoula, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Community Medical Center of health complications.
She was born July 6, 1961, in Hamilton, to Leonard and Jennie Lindquist. She graduated from Darby High School in 1979 and the University of Montana in 1983 with a degree in accounting. She married Gene Schafer on Aug. 24, 1985. They had three children, Jordan, Jesse and Jaime. She loved spending time gardening and playing sports with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law. She is survived by her husband Gene, son Jordan (Kiara), daughter Jesse (Jake), daughter Jaime, granddaughter Logan, brother Dave (Cam), sister Carolyn (Duane) Quaintance, sister Jayne (Don) Faris, brother Scott (Laura), mother-in-law Agnes Schafer, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, June, 1, at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. with reception to follow Thursday, June 1, at Christian Life Center.
