HOT SPRINGS — Lloyd Byron Redmond passed away suddenly at his home Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. He was born April 24, 1941, in Enderlin, North Dakota, to Jesse and Lucille (Henderson) Redmond. Lloyd married his high school sweetheart, Donna (Spiekermeier) Redmond, and achieved his degree in education. Lloyd and Donna moved their family to Montana where he spent thirty five years of his career teaching and coaching for the Hot Springs Savages. During this time he obtained his master's degree. Before retiring, Lloyd also held the positions of athletic director and principal.

Lloyd’s love of the outdoors is what drew him to Montana. He spent many summers camping and four-wheeling with family. This passion has been passed down to at least two generations. Lloyd was an avid hunter and has traveled all over the state pursuing big game.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents Jesse and Lucille; his brother Darrell and sister Dorthy Jantz. He is survived by his wife Donna of Hot Springs, brother Donald of Helena, and sister Carol Pudwell of Lemmon, South Dakota; his daughter Robin Foley (Bruce Ellis) of Butte and son Kyle (Christi) Redmond of Helena; his grandchildren Brent Foley, Nikki (Tucker) Edmundson, Bryce (Taylor) Foley, Connor Foley, J’dra Depaul and Jesse Redmond; great grandchildren Cutler, Cormac, Ruby, Red, Landon, and Maliyah; and many beloved nieces, nephews and extended family members.
