SPOKANE - Randall Vern Brauer, 48, was born May 17, 1961, in Othello, Wash.
Randy had a condition called frontotemporal dementia, caused by a blow to the head, and passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, in Spokane, Wash. (For more information about FTD go to www.ftdsupport.com.)
Randy is survived by his two daughters, Courtney and Brittney Brauer, and granddaughter Mackenzie Brauer, all of Missoula; his mother, Vernette Brauer of Spokane; brother Jeffrey (Cynthia) Brauer of Boise, Idaho, and sister Maresa Brauer and her son Trey of Lakeside.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Carl Brauer. Randy was raised and attended 12 years of school in Thompson Falls and was a member of the Search and Rescue Club for several years. Randy went to the community college in Helena before moving to Missoula. While living in Missoula, Randy was a volunteer fireman for Missoula Rural Fire District and received several awards. He was an instructor with Hunter Safety for 25 years, and a bow and arrow instructor for 17 years.
A funeral service will be held at the Community Congregational Church in Thompson Falls at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, with interment to follow at the Thompson Falls City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home, Spokane.
