SEATTLE – Robert V. Bourdeau, 93, of Seattle passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012.
Dr. Bourdeau was born on July 11, 1919, in Missoula, the first of seven children. He graduated from Missoula High School in 1937, University of Montana in 1941 and Northwestern Medical School in 1946. He married Beatrice Oman on March 10, 1945. He devoted his energy first to the practice of medicine and caring for his patients, then, in retirement, tending to a gentleman’s orchard and vegetable garden until hindered by declining health.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Romauld and Hazel (Groleau) Bourdeau; brothers Ronald, James and Leo. He is survived by spouse Beatrice; sisters, Cece Poole, Joan Smith and brother Paul; sons James, Coran and Robert; daughter Michele and grandchildren, Nicole, Louis, Alex, Tony and Seth.
In the absence of any expressed wishes from Robert, the family has chosen cremation without ceremony. Any remembrances may be directed to Group Health Foundation or Northwestern Medical School.
