MISSOULA – Sandra Hyer Southwick, 66, of Missoula, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2014, surrounded by family and friends. Sandra was born in Red Lodge on Jan. 4, 1948, to Elijah and Ruth Hyer. In 1956 the family moved to Deer Lodge. Sandra raised three wonderful daughters, Samantha, Jill and Kimberly. She resided most of her life in Missoula. She loved riding horses, dancing and road trips, but most of all spending time with family and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her beloved father, Elijah Andrew Hyer, and brother Martin Lee Hyer. She is survived by daughters, Samantha (Shon) Misevic, Jill (John) Pigman, Kimberly (Jimmy) Southwick Jensen; seven grandchildren, Shonna, Stephanie, Sierra, Jessica, Drew, Austin and Makayla; four great-grandchildren, Kellan, Merrick, Ryker and Kayleigh; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and beloved dogs, Marley and Cricket.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced for later this summer at the Pigmans.
