MISSOULA — Shannon Kent, 57, of Missoula, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, in her home. Shannon Kay Kent was born on June 4, 1961, to Glen and Margaret Kent in Missoula. Shannon was the youngest of six children. She graduated from Hellgate High School in 1979. On May 20, 1980, she gave birth to her first-born son Adam Cole Bailey. In April of 1988 Shannon gave birth to her second son Joseph Alexander Bailey IV.
Shannon was an avid dog lover. Throughout her life she raised three Rottweilers named Max, Bruno and Brutus. Shannon enjoyed gardening, counter cross stitch and crocheting. Shannon was a free spirit and enjoyed spending time out doors with her grandchildren and pup Buster.
Shannon is preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Margaret Bailey; and granddaughter Qurdelia Cecelia Bailey.

Shannon is survived by her sons, Adam (Lala) Bailey of Missoula; Joseph (Melissa) Bailey IV of Stevensville; three grandsons, Devantee, Ethan and Juan Bailey of Missoula; granddaughter, Agnesse Rose Bailey of Stevensville; siblings, Glen (Cissy) of Kent, Washington; Sharon (Tom) Shoen of Bonner; Michael (Elizabeth) of Kent, Washington; Donna (Bill) Morris; Patty (Glen) Coonce of Lolo; boyfriend of three years, Bo Curry; and many nieces and nephews.
