MISSOULA - Tiffani Marie Turner passed away on Sunday, May 23, 2010, in her home, with her family and other loved ones present. She journeyed Ewing's sarcoma cancer with the warrior spirit of the Celtic Princess we all knew her to be. During her final week she continued to shower kindness and care on loved ones with the wit and humor that defined her personality.
Tiffani was born in Kalispell, on Easter weekend April 9, 1979. She lived in Missoula since 1984, attending school, working, and enjoying the outdoor activities afforded in Montana. She worked fine dining in various capacities, and was proud to be on the primary team developing Finn and Porter. Tiffani especially enjoyed working with the Trenary family and their establishments at various time over a 15 year period. The Trenary family was very special to Tiffani and very present during her illness.
Tiffani was a young woman of extraordinary character and personality. She approached life and people in an honest manner. She was courageous and adventuresome. As a child and adolescent she trained her horse and her hunting dogs. With two of these favorites she won many ribbons and awards in area shows. She bought and maintained her own home at the age of 21. She traveled to Europe for six weeks, three of which she traveled solo and had a wonderful experience in Istanbul, Turkey. Tiffani loved to write and sing.
Tiffani's family is grateful to the medical staff at Montana Cancer Center for exceptional medical care and loving support, and to her Spokane specialists who provided state-of-the-art treatment and surgery. Tiffani wanted to send a special thank you to nurses Heidi, Jackie, Jenny, Teresa and Irene.
Tiffani is survived by her parents, Nancy and Vance Ventresca, and Patrick Turner; sisters Tonia Turner and Tara Turner; brothers Matt Ventresca and Jarrett Evans; niece Amanda Tucker; nephew Albert Tucker; grandmother Lillian Helmer of Wishek, N.D.; grandmother Virginia Ventresca of Los Angeles; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her childhood and current best friend, Rose Kahane of Lolo.
Tiffani's love of life, beautiful smile, sassy attitude and love for her family and friends will be missed. Her wishes were that we remember her and carrying on with life and be fine. Yes, our redheaded beauty, we will all be fine and better people because of having you in our lives.
In lieu of flowers please make donations to your animal shelter, health organization of choice, or consider Caringbridge.org.
