Vera Christopherson

CONNER – Vera Christopherson of Conner, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 at Valley View Estates from natural causes.

She was born June 12, 1925, in Melstone, to Cecil and Ruby (Delay) Weeks. Vera was raised in the Melstone area and graduated high school there.

She married Lynn Christopherson on April 3, 1945. Vera worked on the B-52 bomber at Boeing during the World War II. She and Lynn made their home in the Bitterroot Valley since 1945. They ranched south of Darby.

Vera was preceded in death by her husband Lynn Christopherson; her parents; her brothers Claire Weeks and Richard Weeks; her sister Mae Miller; and grandson Scotty Christopherson.

She is survived by her son Gary Christopherson of Conner; and daughter Lynda (David) Korth of Helena; grandchildren Denise (Bryan) Conrad of Spokane, Wash., Christopher (Amy) Hart of Rome, Tenn., Lafe Christopherson of Baltimore, Md., Dalton (Ashley) Christopherson of Conner, Christopher Christopherson of Hamilton; seven great-grandchildren; brother Maurice (Betty) Weeks of Bellevue, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Vera’s request no services will be held. A private internment of her ashes will take place at a later date.

The family suggests memorials be made the Bitterroot Humane Society.
