Missoula city law enforcement officers investigate the scene of a shooting on the 100 block of Turner Court on Friday afternoon in which a 24-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

A 24-year-old man was shot Friday afternoon at an apartment complex in the 100 block of Turner Court.

Missoula Police Lt. Sandy Bjorklund said that just before 4 p.m., police got a call from a man in an apartment at the complex, saying he had been shot.

When they arrived, they found the 24-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his shoulder. He was conscious and was able to talk with police before he was taken to the hospital.

Bjorklund said the shooter has not been arrested, but said there is no further danger to the public. Police believe the man was shot by someone he knew.

Police had taped off the front of the apartment complex, which is on a one-way court at the intersection of Turner and Worden. Traffic on those two streets was not affected Friday afternoon.
