When checking my soaker hose, I discovered a huge campaign sign – about the size of a dining table – tucked under the bushes on top of my hose.
This mammoth sign had been displayed above Greenough Drive urging all to vote for Rick Hill as candidate for governor on the GOP ticket.
I called Hill’s local number but it is no longer in service. Then I called the GOP answering service and so far, no response. Obviously, the GOP does not care about local property owners. Who has paid for this thing anyway? The Emir of Bahrain? Gambling interests on Macao? Or just our own Donald Trump? Did the GOP simply try to hide this sign under my bushes to reuse it in the fall?
In the past it has been the obligation of candidates to clean up their signs after an election. I take it that the GOP today is so obsessed with destroying government it has no time to take responsibility for campaign advertising. Shame on you!
