Maybe Montana should change its nickname from "the Big Sky state" to "the Big Smoke state."
As I'm writing this opinion I'm breathing nothing but smoke from the area controlled burns. Montana has only two seasons - smog or winter, and burning or spring, summer and fall. When are the local powers going to determine that burning is not healthy in all seasons, not just in the winter when people need to stay warm? Currently there is no timber production so all the U.S. Forest Service has for work is to burn everything. When is this going to stop!
