I am pleased to endorse Willis Curdy's candidacy for the Montana House of Representatives in District 100. Willis gives residents in Lolo Canyon, Lolo, Blue Mountain, O'Brien Creek, Big Flat, Grass Valley, Eastern Frenchtown Valley and Petty Creek the opportunity to vote for a candidate who understands the interests of House District 100 and who will work hard in the Montana Legislature to represent your priorities.
As Montana's state forester from 1981-92, I strongly support Willis Curdy's commitment to create sustainable jobs in Montana's forests and in related wood products industries. Wood-product related jobs are a major piece of the western Montana economy and I know Willis will work to make sure that role continues. As a fisherman, hunter and backcountry horseman, Willis Curdy understands how much Montana's public lands contribute to our personal enjoyment as well as to the livelihoods of an increasing number of Montanans.
As a University of Montana Forestry School graduate who used that degree to pursue a productive career, I support Curdy's passion for the best quality education for all of Montana's children. Willis Curdy's 30 years as a Missoula teacher helped him understand that in order to compete in the future economy, our kids must have the tools to meet and overcome the challenges facing them.
Finally, I know that Curdy will work for affordable, quality health care and for livable communities and neighborhoods.
The residents of House District 100 have the opportunity to elect an excellent candidate who understands their concerns because he's lived in HD 100 for 27 years, and I know Willis Curdy will work tirelessly for their priorities. Please join me in supporting Willis Curdy as your next state representative.
